Workshop Operations Manager

Job Summary
Rygor Auto is seeking an experienced and dedicated Workshop Controller to lead and inspire the workshop team at our Mercedes-Benz Dealership. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the flow of work through the workshop, ensuring quality and compliance of all works carried out, and guiding the workshop team to deliver exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the workflow of the workshop to ensure efficient and effective use of resources.
- Ensure quality and compliance of all works carried out, adhering to company policies and procedures.
- Guide the workshop team to deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring profitability and adherence to company policies.
- Communicate effectively with the front of house team to ensure seamless customer service.
- Oversee MOT processes to ensure quality and compliant workmanship.
- Supervise, develop, and train the workshop team to achieve high levels of performance and quality.
- Monitor workshop loading and ensure continuity.
- Measure technician's activity and performance to deliver a quality and compliant first-time fix.
- Ensure the workshop is kept clean and tidy at all times.
- Deal with customer complaints quickly and effectively, escalating as necessary.
- Supervise junior staff, ensuring their designated duties are performed correctly and highlighting any problems or training needs.
- Ensure all service processes, including quality checks and MOT, and company policies are adhered to.
- Manage and oversee workshop apprentices from a training and wellbeing perspective.
Requirements
- Industry qualifications achieved to a minimum of Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or mechanical engineering.
- Strong passenger car knowledge and experience.
