Position Summary

Antarctica Asset Management is in search of a seasoned and proactive Vice President of Operations to join our executive leadership team. The VP of Operations will be instrumental in managing the company's daily operations and procedures. This role requires a proficient leader with exceptional interpersonal skills, robust business insight, and a strong work ethic. As a vital member of the senior management team, the VP will oversee various business functions globally, with the primary aim of ensuring operational efficiency and fostering sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Oversight: Direct the daily operations of the organization and supervise the work of executives across Technology, Business Development, Research, Finance, Operations, and other divisions.
  • Strategic Development: Collaborate with the CEO in formulating and executing the company's strategic objectives and goals.
  • Process Optimization: Design and implement operational processes, establish policies that promote the company's culture and vision, and drive continuous improvement initiatives throughout the organization.
  • Performance Enhancement: Inspire team members to achieve peak performance and commitment, regularly assess the effectiveness of business processes in alignment with organizational goals, and implement enhancements.
  • Resource Management: Oversee resource allocation and budgeting to ensure departments are equipped to meet their objectives.
  • Team Collaboration: Promote effective communication and teamwork across all departments.
  • Innovation and Technology Integration: Collaborate closely with the Technology team to harness technology for improving operational efficiency and driving innovation. Ensure alignment of technology initiatives with business objectives while staying informed on industry trends and technological advancements.
  • Performance Metrics: Develop and implement performance indicators to measure and enhance organizational effectiveness, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and facilitating data-driven decision-making.
  • Reporting: Provide regular operational updates to the CEO and other executive team members.

Qualifications

  • Experience: At least 10 years in a senior management position within the financial services sector, ideally in asset management or hedge fund solutions.
  • Leadership in Programs: Proven track record in managing complex, multi-stakeholder, cross-functional initiatives to achieve desired outcomes while effectively mitigating risks.
  • Strategic Leadership: Demonstrated expertise in strategic leadership, executive communication, organizational agility, and cross-team collaboration.
  • Consultative Skills: Ability to work collaboratively with various departments and the Technology team to align and drive strategic initiatives.
  • Organizational Abilities: Exceptional organizational skills, capable of thriving under pressure in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with team members at all levels.
  • Technical Acumen (preferred but not mandatory): Familiarity with technology and its application in enhancing operational efficiency and driving innovation.
