Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate individual to join our team as a Voluntary Services Coordinator. In this role, you will play a vital part in developing, supporting, and growing our volunteer workforce to help us achieve our strategic objectives.
Main Responsibilities
- Develop and implement plans to recruit and engage volunteers, working closely with teams and external partners to identify opportunities and fill gaps.
- Compile and review volunteer role descriptions, ensuring they remain accurate and up-to-date.
- Recruit, assess, and place volunteers according to their skills and experience, providing training and support as needed.
- Ensure volunteers undergo a thorough recruitment and selection process, including DBS checks and risk assessments.
- Maintain accurate records and databases, providing regular reports and statistics to support monitoring and evaluation.
- Provide administrative support to the Voluntary Services team, including data entry and word processing.
- Assist with the coordination of events and meetings for volunteers, ensuring effective communication and engagement.
- Work closely with the Voluntary Services Manager to develop and implement projects and initiatives to support the volunteer workforce.
Requirements
- Proven administration experience, with excellent written and verbal skills.
- Experience of working with volunteers or as a volunteer, with a strong understanding of the importance of volunteer engagement.
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels, with a cheerful and positive attitude.
- Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle, with a willingness to travel to various locations.
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills, with experience of maintaining databases and producing reports.
