Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Service Administrator to join our team at Health West Norfolk. The successful candidate will be responsible for administering two of our services, The Referral Support Service and 24hr Ambulatory ECG service.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients and colleagues, ensuring timely and accurate input of referral documents into the NHS e-Referral system.
  • Develop strong working relationships with administrative staff across different organizations, communicating effectively with patients, GP practices, and provider organizations.
  • Use the NHS e-Referral system, SystmOne, and EMIS to support GP practice and provider administrators, handling queries and troubleshooting as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records using spreadsheets and databases, ensuring confidentiality and adhering to data protection policies.
  • Monitor the 24hr ECG service, ensuring interpretation and results are delivered within timescales, and liaising with practice hubs and third-party organizations.
  • Undertake regular training and personal development, attending staff meetings and contributing to team discussions.

Health West Norfolk is a membership organization consisting of 21 GP surgeries, supporting a patient population of 185,000 across a range of demographics. We facilitate local transformation, understanding and supporting GP surgeries to adopt the latest national and local changes required by the NHS and commissioners.

Person Specification:
  • Good standard of education, including GCSE grade B or equivalent in English and Maths.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and email systems.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to deal with change and the demands of the post.
  • Maintain confidentiality and good interpersonal and communication skills at all levels.
  • Experience working in the local NHS, with NHS e-Referral, TPP SystmOne, EMIS, and providing excellent customer service.
