We are seeking a highly driven individual to join our team as a Lead Business Development Manager. As a key member of our Online Marketplace team, you will be responsible for identifying, engaging, and recruiting a compelling set of sellers to list on our Marketplace platform.
Key Responsibilities- Identify and engage with potential sellers to list on our Marketplace platform, prioritizing those that align with our strategy on range offer.
- Maintain a pipeline of new sellers to be recruited onto the Tesco Marketplace platform, using a data-driven approach to ensure alignment with our commercial strategy.
- Sign new sellers to the Marketplace platform and work closely with them to develop range, merchandising, and promotional strategies.
- Identify product areas for future Marketplace growth based on commercial performance and customer opportunity.
- Work with sellers to manage their accounts and ensure we achieve the commercial outcomes set out for Marketplace.
- Collaborate with Tesco Commercial colleagues to develop and implement category-level strategies.
- Establish governance forums with Tesco Commercial teams and own relationships with category teams.
- Lead a small team of Business Development Managers.
- Previous experience managing a team.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience managing a budget would be desirable.
- Annual bonus scheme of up to 20% of base salary.
