Lead Business Development Manager

We are seeking a highly driven and experienced Lead Business Development Manager to join our Online Marketplace team at Tesco. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in shaping our Marketplace strategy and translating it into action. Your primary responsibility will be to identify, engage, and recruit a compelling set of sellers to list on our Marketplace platform. You will also be responsible for maintaining a pipeline for new sellers, prioritizing them using a data-driven approach that aligns with our strategy on range offer. Additionally, you will work closely with sellers to develop and implement range, merchandising, and promotional strategies. Your Key Responsibilities
- Identify and engage with potential sellers to list on our Marketplace platform
- Maintain a pipeline of new sellers and prioritize them using a data-driven approach
- Work closely with sellers to develop and implement range, merchandising, and promotional strategies
- Identify product areas for future Marketplace growth based on commercial performance and customer opportunity
- Work with sellers to manage their accounts and ensure we achieve the commercial outcomes set out for Marketplace
- Collaborate with Tesco Commercial colleagues to develop and implement category-level strategies
- Establish governance forums with Tesco Commercial teams and own relationships with category teams
- Lead a small team of Business Development Managers
