About the Role
We are seeking a highly driven and experienced Lead Business Development Manager to join our Online Marketplace team at Tesco. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in shaping our Marketplace strategy and translating it into action. Your primary responsibility will be to identify, engage, and recruit a compelling set of sellers to list on our Marketplace platform. You will also be responsible for maintaining a pipeline for new sellers, prioritizing them using a data-driven approach that aligns with our strategy on range offer. Additionally, you will work closely with sellers to develop and implement range, merchandising, and promotional strategies. Your Key Responsibilities
  1. Identify and engage with potential sellers to list on our Marketplace platform
  2. Maintain a pipeline of new sellers and prioritize them using a data-driven approach
  3. Work closely with sellers to develop and implement range, merchandising, and promotional strategies
  4. Identify product areas for future Marketplace growth based on commercial performance and customer opportunity
  5. Work with sellers to manage their accounts and ensure we achieve the commercial outcomes set out for Marketplace
  6. Collaborate with Tesco Commercial colleagues to develop and implement category-level strategies
  7. Establish governance forums with Tesco Commercial teams and own relationships with category teams
  8. Lead a small team of Business Development Managers
