Job Overview

This role will be based in a dynamic and supportive environment, with occasional travel to London. The primary objective of this position is to secure new business within the SME/MLE market space across the Xpertex company portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • To ensure sales targets are achieved on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • To act as an advocate of Xpertex in all customer interactions and within the external marketplace.
  • To inform sales strategies and collaborate with marketing to develop campaigns that increase market share, raise awareness of the Xpertex brand and technology.
  • To support our continued growth within the SME marketplace and enhance our profile within the MLE marketplace.
  • To provide expert advice to clients on Cyber Security and networking solutions, managed and professional services that meet their requirements, and conduct thorough assessments and analysis of client needs.
  • To stay up-to-date with the latest vendor training and update sessions, webinars, and industry developments.
  • To negotiate pricing with clients to achieve sales in line with Exponential-e Group's pricing policies and client requirements.
  • To accurately forecast anticipated sales and provide regular activity reporting.
  • To participate in planning and preparing marketing campaigns, as well as developing targeted campaigns.
  • To build and maintain strong vendor relationships in support of the sales mission.
  • To ensure the CRM is up-to-date for all accounts, customer contacts, prospects, deals, and opportunities.
  • To assist with the mentoring of junior staff members.
  • To attend networking events, which may require working outside of normal hours.
  • To take responsibility for and achieve personal and career advancement goals in line with Exponential-e's personal development program.
  • To coordinate planned visits at customer locations and Exponential-e.
  • To present company information to C-level executives.
  • To identify, develop, and bring on new accounts to manage, as well as identify up-sell opportunities within existing accounts.
  • To perform any other fair and reasonable tasks or duties assigned by your line manager or other senior Exponential-e Group staff member.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • A consistent new business sales record within the cyber security, networking, cloud, or managed services space.
  • Knowledge of cyber security, networking vendors (Juniper, Palo Alto, Arista), LAN, Wi-Fi, WAN, and Internet and connectivity network technologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to 'win trust' and sell on the quality and integrity of Xpertex and the Exponential-e Group.
  • An ambitious, industrious, and aspirational mindset.
  • The ability to use modern tools and social media platforms to develop and nurture contacts and create new business.
  • Experience selling into the SME market.
  • Must be driven, self-motivated, and disciplined.
  • Good presentation skills.
  • Committed, engaged, and responsible when dealing with customers.
  • Eager to learn and develop.
