Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Executive to join our team. As a key member of our sales and marketing team, you will be responsible for securing new business opportunities within the SME/MLE market space and acting as an advocate for Xpertex and Exponential-e.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual targets
  • Collaborate with marketing to create campaigns that increase market share and raise awareness of the Xpertex brand and technology
  • Support the growth of our SME business and enhance our profile in the MLE marketplace
  • Provide expert advice to clients on cyber security and networking solutions, managed and professional services that meet their needs
  • Stay up-to-date with vendor training and update sessions, webinars, and industry developments
  • Negotiate pricing with clients to achieve sales in line with Exponential-e Group's pricing policies and client requirements
  • Accurately forecast sales and provide regular activity reporting
  • Participate in planning and preparing marketing campaigns and targeted sales initiatives
  • Build and maintain vendor relationships to support the sales mission
  • Ensure the CRM is up-to-date for all accounts, customer contacts, prospects, deals, and opportunities
  • Assist with the mentoring of junior staff members
  • Attend networking events, including activities outside of normal working hours
  • Take responsibility for personal and career advancement goals in line with Exponential-e's personal development program
  • Establish and coordinate planned visits at customer locations and Exponential-e
  • Present company information to C-level executives
  • Identify, develop, and bring on new accounts to manage, as well as identify up-sell opportunities within existing accounts
Requirements
  • Consistent new business sales record within the cyber security, networking, cloud, or managed services space
  • Knowledge of cyber security, networking vendors (Juniper, Palo Alto, Arista), LAN, Wi-Fi, WAN, and Internet and connectivity network technologies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to 'win trust' and sell on the quality and integrity of Xpertex and Exponential-e Group
  • An ambitious, industrious, and aspirational mindset
  • Ability to use modern tools and social media platforms to develop and nurture contacts and create new business
  • Experience selling into the SME market
  • Must be driven, self-motivated, and disciplined
  • Good presentation skills
  • Committed, engaged, and responsible when dealing with customers
  • Eager to learn and develop
