About the Role
We are seeking a highly driven and experienced Business Development Manager to join our Online Marketplace team at Tesco. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for identifying, engaging, and recruiting a compelling set of sellers to list on our Marketplace platform. Your primary focus will be on maintaining a pipeline for new sellers, prioritizing those that align with our strategy on range offer. You will work closely with sellers to develop and implement range, merchandising, and promotional strategies to drive commercial outcomes. Additionally, you will identify product areas for future Marketplace growth, work with sellers to manage their accounts, and establish governance forums with Tesco Commercial teams. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of our Marketplace and contribute to the growth of our business.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Identify and engage with potential sellers to list on our Marketplace platform
  2. Maintain a pipeline of new sellers, prioritizing those that align with our strategy on range offer
  3. Work closely with sellers to develop and implement range, merchandising, and promotional strategies
  4. Identify product areas for future Marketplace growth based on commercial performance and customer opportunity
  5. Manage seller accounts to ensure commercial outcomes are achieved
  6. Establish governance forums with Tesco Commercial teams
