In this role, you will maintain a positive outlook and demonstrate initiative by:

Partnering with your manager and team to enhance customer and industry knowledge Utilizing social media platforms to uncover business prospects Innovating new methods for identifying potential clients Collaborating with existing customers to identify and develop improved solutions Contributing to and sharing process enhancements

The Trainee Role

As a Sales Development Trainee, you will dedicate 20% of your time to studying for your apprenticeship while applying your learnings in the field 80% of the time, supporting the sales and marketing organization.

Throughout this experience, you will become part of a vast marketing community that spans Europe and encompasses various business teams. You will also have access to a wider network of individuals who will assist you in your personal and professional development.

In your first year, the focus will primarily be on understanding the company and acquiring the necessary skills for the role. You will gradually transition into the Business Development Associate position while continuing your sales apprenticeship.

Here are some activities you will engage in during your first year:

Familiarizing yourself with your customer portfolio and discussing it confidently Gaining a comprehensive understanding of how large, matrixed organizations operate Assisting fellow Business Developers by generating investigative reports Conducting research on new business opportunities Acquiring industry knowledge to form a perspective for customers Developing skills that facilitate the building and maintenance of customer relationships

Additionally, the trainee will have the chance to broaden their experience and contribute directly to the Marketing function through activities such as:

Performing customer and competitor analysis Assisting with new product launches and trials Supporting the creation of social media content aligned with current objectives Aiding in the development of marketing materials, both print and digital Organizing customer events and exhibitions Reviewing the monthly marketing budget against the plan Collaborating with the sales and clinical teams to meet customer expectations Assisting the Marketing lead with portfolio lifecycle management – introducing innovations and phasing out outdated products Preparing for and supporting both internal sales and external customer meetings Spending time in the field visiting customers to understand competitors and market needs

Eligibility

Must have the right to work in the United Kingdom and have been a resident in the UK/EU for at least 3 years GCSEs or equivalent with Math and English at grade 5 and above (A-C/4-9) Driving Licence with no more than 6 points Willingness to travel with some overnight stays
