About Polaris

Polaris operates a new SEN institution that caters to the educational needs of young individuals aged 7-18 who face social, emotional, and mental health challenges. Our students may present with various diagnoses, including ASD, ADHD, and anxiety, among others. We pride ourselves on our small class sizes, allowing for personalized attention and tailored support for each learner.

Our campus is set within expansive grounds, fostering a therapeutic atmosphere that prioritizes the well-being of our students. We offer diverse outdoor learning opportunities, including forest school activities and a multi-use sports pitch. Inside, our facilities have been fully modernized to provide a variety of classrooms and specialized activity spaces.

Role Responsibilities

The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering the full curriculum across all assigned subjects. You will be expected to design, prepare, and execute lessons that accommodate the diverse needs of all students in your class.

Key Duties Include:

  • Engaging students through dynamic and creative lesson delivery
  • Collaborating with colleagues, families, and external professionals to uphold high educational standards
  • Tracking and evaluating student progress, providing constructive feedback
  • Employing a range of teaching methods and resources to enhance student engagement
  • Creating and sustaining a safe and stimulating learning environment
  • Enforcing classroom discipline in accordance with our Behavior Policy

Candidate Requirements:

  • Possess Qualified Teacher Status
  • Demonstrated experience in Primary Education
  • Strong understanding of the National Curriculum
  • Ability to modify teaching approaches to meet individual student needs
