Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Needs (SEN) Teacher to join our team at Teaching Personnel. As a SEN Teacher, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs and disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lesson Planning: Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to the individual learning needs of students with SEN.
  • Classroom Environment: Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and empowered to succeed.
  • Differentiated Instruction: Use a variety of teaching strategies and resources to differentiate instruction and accommodate diverse learning styles.
  • Progress Monitoring: Monitor student progress, achievements, and behavior, in accordance with school policies and procedures.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with parents/carers, colleagues, and external agencies to foster positive relationships and ensure coordinated support for students with SEN.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with relevant experience working with children with SEN.
  • SEN Knowledge: Strong understanding of SEN practices, principles, and legislation.
  • Adaptability: Ability to adapt teaching strategies and resources to meet the diverse needs of students with varying abilities and disabilities.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to Inclusion: Commitment to promoting inclusion, diversity, and equality in education.
  • Personal Qualities: Patient, empathetic, and resilient with a genuine passion for supporting the holistic development of every child.
