Job Description

**Role Overview**

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at Protocol Education. The successful candidate will be working in a specialized SEMH unit in a primary school in Cambridge, supporting students with behavioral, emotional, and social difficulties.

Key Responsibilities

  • **Foster a Nurturing Environment**: Create a safe and supportive environment that promotes effective social, emotional, and educational development for students.
  • **Collaborate with Teachers and SENCOs**: Work closely with classroom teachers and SENCOs to devise and deliver personalized learning and care plans for students.
  • **Monitor and Record Progress**: Regularly monitor and record student progress, reporting to the school's SEN team and meeting targets.
  • **Build Strong Rapport with Students**: Develop strong relationships with students, understanding their individual needs and providing tailored support.

Requirements

  • **Previous Experience**: Previous experience working with students with SEND is highly desirable.
  • **Qualifications**: A qualification in Team Teach is ideal but not essential.
  • **Availability**: Availability to start ASAP is essential.
