About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Science Communication Professional. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse range of scientists and engineers, promoting science and technology to a wide audience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Research and present science through various written, verbal, and visual channels
  • Support the development of website and social media content
  • Develop case studies of staff and industrial work
  • Collaborate with scientists and engineers to deliver events
  • Support other communication team activities
  • Photography, videography, and graphic design of promotional materials
Requirements
  • Currently enrolled on an undergraduate degree course and returning to university/studies to complete your undergraduate degree following the placement
  • Required or have requested to take an industrial placement year
  • Have the right to live and work in the UK for the duration of the placement
  • Able to commence employment in summer 2025
  • GCSE English or equivalent
  • Keen interest in science and science communication
  • Excellent writing, presentation, and organisational skills
  • Demonstrate good team working capabilities
  • The willingness to learn new skills, both technical and non-technical
