Job Summary

The Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital is seeking a highly motivated and passionate individual to join our team as a Senior Health Care Assistant. This role is critical in delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to our hospital's mission to provide outstanding healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, adhering to the highest standards of care and safety.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure a seamless patient experience, from admission to discharge.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure effective communication and care coordination.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of patient care plans, ensuring individualized and evidence-based care.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of a safe and clean environment, adhering to infection control and safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with the team to identify and address patient concerns, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
Requirements
  • City and Guilds NVQ Level 3 in Care/Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification.
  • Previous experience in a nursing or care assistant role, preferably in an emergency department setting.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse patient populations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on patient-centered care.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to hospital policies and procedures.
