Database Management Expertise

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Database Administrator & SQL Developer to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for the comprehensive management of our organization's OLTP and OLAP database systems. Your expertise will ensure the smooth operation, security, and performance of these critical data assets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Insights & Analysis: Leverage your analytical skills to extract valuable insights from our databases, supporting informed decision-making across the organization.
  • Database Recovery & Backup: Design, implement, and test robust backup strategies to ensure data integrity and minimize downtime in case of unforeseen events.
  • Data Integrity Assurance: Implement and maintain procedures to guarantee the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of our database information.
  • Security & Access Control: Define and enforce strict access controls to protect sensitive data from unauthorized access and ensure compliance with industry best practices.
  • Database Performance Optimization: Continuously monitor and optimize database performance to ensure efficient query execution and meet the evolving needs of our applications.
  • Development Support: Collaborate closely with developers to provide technical guidance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure seamless integration of databases into software solutions.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Proven experience of 5+ years in developing SQL-based applications.
  • Advanced proficiency in PL/SQL or similar procedural languages.
  • Strong SQL skills with experience in PostgreSQL and Greenplum databases is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with AWS cloud services, including EC2, RDS, and CloudWatch.
  • Expertise in Linux administration, shell scripting, cron jobs, Ansible/Terraform, replication technologies, and pgWatch.
  • Knowledge of Python is a valuable asset.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
