About the Role

We have an exceptional opportunity for a qualified candidate to join the Innovation & Change Team within the Parking service sector. This team has been acknowledged for its leadership in promoting sustainability and delivering value in local governance, focusing on advanced transportation technologies.

Our project lifecycle methodology allows us to examine best practices and innovative concepts from across Europe and implement them effectively. From initial planning to execution and assessment, our team ensures that the benefits are realized for the community.

The successful candidate will assume project management responsibilities for establishing, overseeing, and executing initiatives within the Innovation & Change team for the Parking service sector. This includes the Workplace Parking Levy (WPL), Parking Services (both on and off-street), and Parking Regulation and Compliance teams. Responsibilities will encompass project planning, managing timelines, financial oversight, governance, risk management, and reporting on program and project progress.

The WPL initiative has been a pioneering effort, generating significant funds that have been reinvested into sustainable transportation solutions and facilitating substantial investments for transport enhancements. This program has acted as a catalyst for transformation, positioning Leicestershire as a leader in addressing environmental challenges and urban inequality. In addition to reducing harmful emissions, the scheme has contributed to neighborhood revitalization, job creation, and improved access to essential services.
