Customer Service Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our Visitor Engagement team as a Visitor Engagement Team Leader at St Paul's Cathedral.
Main Responsibilities- Operational Leadership: Provide strategic leadership and guidance to the Visitor Experience Assistants (VEAs) team, ensuring they deliver exceptional customer service and a warm welcome to all visitors.
- Team Management: Lead a team of VEAs, setting clear objectives, monitoring performance, and addressing any shortfalls. Identify coaching and development needs and work with the Visitor Operations Managers to deliver training and support.
- Customer Service: Ensure that all visitors receive a high-quality experience, addressing any issues or complaints promptly and professionally.
- Operational Efficiency: Coordinate daily floor walks, safety checks, and pre-opening checks to ensure the smooth operation of the Cathedral.
- Financial Management: Manage cash handling, investigate discrepancies, and maintain accurate records.
- Communication: Deliver engaging briefings to the team, ensuring they are well-informed and motivated.
- Risk Management: Understand and implement risk assessments, policies, and procedures to safeguard the team and visitors.
- Essential Experience: Proven experience in customer-facing roles, team leadership, and operational management in a heritage or public engagement setting.
- Key Skills: Excellent communication, coaching, and problem-solving skills, with a strong focus on customer service and team management.
- Desirable Experience: Experience working in a heritage or religious establishment, managing staff, and working with volunteers.
The ideal candidate will be a strong leader, with a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences and a commitment to the Christian aims and mission of St Paul's Cathedral.
