We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Support Worker to join our team at a children's residential home in Shepreth, Cambridge. As a key member of our team, you will provide exceptional care and support to children and young adults with disabilities, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
About the Role:- Provide overnight support to children and young adults, promoting healthy sleep patterns and addressing any issues that arise.
- Assist with bedtime routines, including washing and changing, and maintain a safe and supportive environment.
- Administer and record prescribed medication accurately, and communicate effectively with the team to ensure seamless care.
- Participate in light housekeeping duties during quieter periods, and contribute to the overall well-being of the children and young adults in our care.
- Experience in the care industry, preferably with children with additional needs.
- Ability to encourage supportive independence and promote healthy sleep patterns.
- Exceptional communication skills, patience, and a resilient and positive nature.
- Ability to work on a rota pattern, including every other weekend.
- A competitive salary of £12.78 per hour, plus a £25 per night shift allowance (£4K per year).
- A £1500 joining bonus.
- A permanent, full-time position with 40 hours per week.
- A 4-week rota pattern of 14 shifts, 8.45pm-8.15am.
- 33 days' holiday entitlement, including Bank Holidays.
- Opportunity to complete your Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare.
- Fully funded training and DBS.
