The Revenues and Benefits service plays a vital role in the billing and collection of Council Tax, Business Rates, and assessment of Benefits for Peterborough City Council. We have an opportunity to fill a key position in our team as a Revenues and Benefits Senior Systems and Support Officer.

This role requires the ideal candidate to have experience in working within a Revenues and Benefits department using the Capita Academy Revenues system. Alternative relevant experience on other equivalent revenues systems will be considered.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of efficient and effective systems provision and software applications to support the Revenues and Benefits teams in Shared Transactional Services. They will take a lead on the technical and complex aspects of the team and support the maintenance and control of the relevant computer systems used by the different teams within Revenues.

The candidate will also be required to provide technical advice and guidance in respect of the collation of government and other statutory returns and identify developments in the system, usually from new releases, that could provide more efficient and effective service delivery.

This role requires the ideal candidate to have experience in working with databases and methods of data extraction, such as SQL, Access reports, and using Excel to manipulate and present statistical data to non-technical users.

This role is suitable for agile and flexible working arrangements.
