Job Summary

The IT Support Specialist will provide technical assistance to staff members, ensuring that all computer systems and software are functioning properly. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to staff members, resolving hardware and software issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, software, and peripherals.
  • Ensure that all computer systems and software are up-to-date and running smoothly.
  • Develop and implement procedures for maintaining computer systems and software.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to identify and resolve technical issues.
  • Provide training and support to staff members on the use of computer systems and software.
  • Monitor and maintain the IT inventory, ensuring that all equipment is properly documented and accounted for.
  • Develop and implement procedures for data backup and recovery.
  • Ensure that all IT systems and software are secure and compliant with organizational policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a technical support role.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of computer systems, software, and peripherals.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies.
  • Fluency in English and Pashto/Dari.
