About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Renal Equipment Specialist at Swansea Bay University Health Board.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a maintenance, repair, and support service for a wide range of renal devices, including highly complex, patient-critical equipment, located in various clinical settings across the organization.
  • Plan and prioritize non-routine breakdown requests, and deal with emergencies arising with equipment.
  • Perform commissioning and acceptance tests on newly purchased and loan equipment.
  • Participate in and contribute to the Quality Management System, adhering to Health Board and Departmental policies and procedures.
  • Actively contribute to planning of service developments within the Renal Technical Services department.
Requirements
  • Meets minimum relevant qualification/knowledge of medical device management/quality.
  • Experience in repair or maintenance of equipment, organizing repair or maintenance, or IT systems experience.
  • Has made an effort to gain a basic understanding of some key elements of the job description/person specification.
  • Can articulate a basic understanding of the value of safety and quality as a minimum.
  • Able to demonstrate effective communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
