About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Technologist to join our team at Swansea Bay University Health Board. As a Clinical Technologist, you will play a critical role in the repair, maintenance, and calibration of medical devices used across our wards and departments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and organize Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) activity on a wide range of complex and non-complex medical equipment, including medical gas equipment.
  • Carry out servicing and repairs of more complex medical equipment, such as defibrillators, multi-parameter monitoring equipment, and endoscopic equipment.
  • Provide senior management with advice on the upgrading and replacement of medical gas equipment and general electrical medical equipment.
  • Responsible for data entry and accuracy for all records for technical servicing, repair, commissioning, calibration, and disposal of medical equipment.
Person Specification
  • Qualification suitable for the role.
  • Ability to speak Welsh (desirable).
  • Suitable experience in repairing and testing medical devices.
  • Working with ISO 9001, or other quality systems and processes.
  • Medical device management standards and systems.
