Senior Clinical Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Clinical Technologist to join our Nuclear Medicine Department at Singleton Hospital in Swansea.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing clinical non-imaging and therapeutic Nuclear Medicine services for patients, including radiopharmaceutical ordering, drawing-up and administration. They will also be responsible for radioactivity management and radiation equipment quality control procedures, as well as mentoring junior staff members and students in this specialist area.
Main Responsibilities:- Deliver clinical non-imaging and therapeutic Nuclear Medicine services for patients
- Perform radioactivity management and radiation equipment quality control procedures
- Mentor junior staff members and students in Nuclear Medicine
- Work within a highly skilled team in therapeutic and technical nuclear medicine
- B.Sc (Hons) in Nuclear Medicine / Radiography / Science
- Registered Clinical Technologist with RCT or Registered Healthcare Science Practitioner with AHCS or Registered Therapy Radiographer with HCPC
- Experience in phlebotomy and cannulation and intravenous administration of radiopharmaceuticals
- Aseptic dispensing and administration of therapeutic radiopharmaceuticals
- Radioactive waste management
- Technical management
- Radiation safety
- Quality Control testing of radiation detection equipment
- Standard infection control process relating to intravenous administrations
- Staff training
