Senior Clinical Technologist

The Senior Clinical Technologist will play a key role in the maintenance, repair, and support of a wide range of medical devices, including complex and patient-critical equipment, across various clinical settings within the Swansea Bay University Health Board.
Main Responsibilities- Provide a maintenance, repair, and support service for medical devices, including commissioning and acceptance tests on newly purchased and loan equipment.
- Plan and prioritize non-routine breakdown requests, and deal with emergencies arising with equipment.
- Maintain and repair complex and patient-critical medical equipment, and participate in the development of changes to Health and Safety Policies.
- Contribute to the planning of service developments within the Medical Equipment Management Service (MEMS), and actively support the development of changes in the MEMS quality system.
- Member of the National Register of Clinical Technologists (RCT/AHCS), or working towards registration.
- Contemporary knowledge of analog and digital electronics and associated fault-finding techniques.
- Sound grasp of Medical Device Management guidance and Quality Systems (ISO 9001:2015).
- Car license holder (UK) and car owner.
