Job Description

**Job Title:** Director - Ethics and Independence

**Job Summary:** We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as Director - Ethics and Independence. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to lead our efforts in promoting a culture of integrity and transparency within East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies to promote a culture of ethics and integrity across the organization.
  • Provide guidance and support to staff on ethics and governance matters.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders to ensure that the trust's governance framework is robust and effective.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with ethics and governance.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including patients, staff, and external partners.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a senior leadership role, preferably in a healthcare or public sector organization.
  • Strong knowledge of ethics and governance principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
