Job Summary:

We are seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to join our dynamic team at Octagon Group. As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring all components meet the highest quality standards within specified timeframes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the product design process into manufacture, ensuring seamless integration of quality control measures.
  • Access and maintain technical documentation using a Product Data Management (PDM) system, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Conduct risk analysis using Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA), Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA), Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), and capability studies to identify and mitigate potential issues.
  • Develop and implement methods and procedures for process control, improvement, testing, and inspection to ensure product integrity.

Requirements:

  • Experience supporting DFMEA/PFMEA, with a strong understanding of quality control principles.
  • Proficiency in measuring equipment, with the ability to calibrate and maintain instruments.
  • HNC or higher qualification in mechanical or electrical engineering, with a strong foundation in mathematics and science.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and work with specification documents, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Competency in root cause analysis and 8D problem-solving, with a strong understanding of quality management systems.
