Role Overview:


As a Marine Lifting Systems Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of lifting operations. Your expertise will be vital in maintaining high standards of performance across various marine systems.



Key Responsibilities:


  • Conduct comprehensive inspections, maintenance, commissioning, and troubleshooting of marine lifts and associated lifting systems.
  • Adhere to safe working practices that align with company SHE protocols at all times.
  • Utilize your technical knowledge and experience to effectively address and resolve operational issues.
  • Work independently while providing support and guidance to fellow technical staff.
  • Mentor and offer technical advice to junior engineers to enhance their skills.
  • Engage with clients and regulatory bodies through various communication methods to discuss technical challenges.
  • Collaborate with the broader Marine Systems Teams to ensure optimal performance and prepare detailed technical reports.

Required Skills and Experience:


Essential:

  • Significant experience in lifting operations.
  • Proficient in the thorough examination, maintenance, commissioning, and fault diagnosis of marine lifts and lifting equipment.
  • In-depth technical knowledge of mechanical systems, particularly in lifting appliances and their maintenance, along with relevant legislation and inspection standards.
  • Proven track record in the maintenance and inspection of marine lift systems, with a commitment to staying updated on technological advancements.
  • Ability to perform scheduled maintenance, thorough examinations, and fault rectification.
  • Qualifications at NVQ level 3 & 4 to support inspection and maintenance tasks.
