About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lifting Operations Specialist to join our Slinging and Fleeting team at BAE Systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, and standard operating practices, identifying areas for improvement and implementing recommendations.
  • Verify that all equipment, plant, and accessories are in good working condition and meet safety standards.
  • Conduct lifting operations using various equipment within a maritime and facilities environment, adhering to LOLER, PUWER, and BS7121 regulations.
  • Collaborate with the team to complete administrative tasks, including risk assessments, pre-use check sheets, and standard/complex lift plans.
Requirements
  • NVQ 2/3 or equivalent qualifications/experience.
  • CPCS/NPORS or equivalent certification.
  • Understanding of LOLER, PUWER, and BS7121 regulations.
  • Experience in general lifting operations using various lifting equipment within a maritime and facilities environment.
