Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Assistant Supplies Officer to join our team at Essential Employment. As a key member of our supplies team, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Supplies Manager, ensuring the smooth operation of our stores and inventory management systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive, check, and record all goods delivered to the section and issue as requested.
  • Maintain and administer the Stores IT systems, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Assist the Supplies Manager with general clerical duties, including the raising of purchase orders, progressing of orders, and sourcing of equipment/services.
  • Perform stock checks as required and investigate and resolve any discrepancies found.
  • Collate information from the section or computer system as required by the Shared Service Centre Manager or Supplies Manager.
  • Ensure the smooth running of the section in the absence of the Supplies Manager.
  • Supply and fit uniform to all staff.
  • Liaise with the Shared Service Centre Manager concerning all routine order/invoice matters.
  • Progress and chase purchase orders.
  • Check invoices submitted against orders raised by the section and clear invoices for payment on proof of delivery.
  • Input details of all transactions to the computerized system.
  • Respond to new initiatives in respect of the requirements of new technology, Health and Safety.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment. You will also need to be proficient in using computerized systems and have a basic understanding of inventory management principles.

Working Hours:

This is a full-time role on a temporary basis.
