Position: Trainer for Families and M-PACT

Location: Remote Working

Salary: £28,210 per annum

The Forward Trust is seeking a dedicated professional to facilitate the accredited M-PACT Practitioner training for both internal staff and external partners throughout the UK and Ireland. This role may also involve assisting in the international expansion of our training initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the M-PACT Training Manager in scheduling and organizing training sessions to align with partner requirements.
  • Maintain effective communication with the accrediting body, licensed partners, and trainees as necessary.
  • Evaluate applicants for training to ensure they possess the requisite skills, experience, and qualifications for the M-PACT practitioner program.
  • Deliver M-PACT training across the UK and Ireland as coordinated with the M-PACT Training Manager.
  • Effectively conduct online training sessions.
  • Support the development of other staff members to become M-PACT trainers as needed.
  • Assist in the implementation of the program both internally and externally as required.

Candidate Profile:

Essential Experience:

  • Proven experience in delivering the M-PACT program to families.
  • A minimum of 5 years working in an addiction-related environment.
  • Experience in providing both online and in-person training to professionals.
  • Familiarity with assessment processes in educational settings.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks effectively.
  • Proficient in using online learning platforms.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of the effects of addiction on children, young people, and their families.
  • Ability to engage learners and utilize diverse teaching strategies to accommodate various learning needs.
  • Strong IT skills, including proficiency in MS Office and online learning platforms such as Moodle.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • A proactive and problem-solving mindset with the ability to quickly identify and communicate key issues.
  • Effective workload management to meet deadlines and objectives.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
  • A flexible approach and willingness to adapt to changing priorities.

Qualifications:

  • M-PACT Practitioner Training certification.
  • Undergraduate degree (Level 6) in a relevant field such as counselling, psychotherapy, or psychology.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Experience teaching in further education (FE) or higher education (HE) settings.
  • Experience working directly with families, children, and young people affected by addiction outside of the M-PACT program.
