About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Commis Chef to join our culinary team at Holroyd Howe. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional food experiences to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Head Chef in the preparation, production, and service of high-quality dishes that meet our clients' expectations.
  • Ensure the presentation and quality of all dishes meet our company's standards.
  • Supervise and train kitchen assistants to maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
  • Collaborate with the catering team to execute special events and themed dinners.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, culinary techniques, and new ingredients to enhance our menu offerings.
  • Foster a positive working environment by demonstrating leadership qualities and effective communication.
Requirements
  • Previous experience working in a similar role within a contract catering company or educational institution.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards and best practices.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure in a high-volume kitchen environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
