Executive Chef Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Commis Chef to join our team at Holroyd Howe. As a key member of our culinary team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional food experiences for our students.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the Head Chef in food preparation, production, and service, ensuring the highest standards of quality and presentation.
- Supervise and train kitchen assistants, promoting a culture of food safety and sanitation.
- Contribute to menu planning and development, considering dietary restrictions, nutritional guidelines, and seasonal ingredients.
- Collaborate with the catering team to execute special events and themed dinners.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, culinary techniques, and new ingredients to enhance menu offerings.
- Foster a positive working environment, demonstrating leadership qualities and effective communication.
- Previous experience in a similar role within a contract catering company or educational institution.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and best practices.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure in a high-volume kitchen environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
