Position Overview

Scopely is seeking a Creative Art Supervisor to enhance our Monopoly GO project, with responsibilities that include collaboration with various teams and ensuring high-quality artistic output.

Monopoly GO has quickly become a significant title within our portfolio, enjoyed by a vast audience. Our teams across different regions are committed to crafting engaging experiences for our users.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with the Senior Art Director to maintain alignment with the artistic vision and uphold exceptional quality standards.
  • Drive brand identity through innovative designs and memorable experiences.
  • Facilitate creative brainstorming sessions to explore artistic solutions and directions.
  • Provide clear artistic guidance for various features and content, collaborating with different art disciplines to achieve outstanding results.
  • Foster an art culture that nurtures talent, maximizes team potential, and promotes effective collaboration across disciplines.
  • Oversee performance evaluations and goal-setting for the art team.
  • Contribute to strategic planning at the studio level for product development.
  • Partner with production teams to streamline the art production process.
  • Ensure the well-being of the art team, focusing on morale and addressing training and resource needs.
  • Identify areas for improvement within the creative workflow.
  • Lead communication efforts related to art across departments and support external artistic requirements.
  • Bring fresh ideas and creative insights while adhering to a cohesive design philosophy.

Qualifications

  • Experience in fostering collaboration among various art disciplines, including 2D, UI, 3D, Animation, and VFX.
  • Proven track record in managing a large team of artists.
  • Experience as an Art Lead or Associate Art Director on at least one shipped title.
  • Background in developing social games for mobile platforms, particularly in the casual gaming sector.
  • A strong understanding of whimsical art styles.
  • Expertise in providing tailored direction and mentorship to team members across all art disciplines.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to apply expert judgment in art quality.
  • Demonstrated flexibility, motivation, and approachability.
  • In-depth knowledge of how game art and visual design enhance gameplay, user experience, narrative, and brand positioning.
  • Familiarity with game development pipelines and their constraints.
  • Ability to communicate and promote the artistic vision throughout the organization.
  • 7+ years of experience in a leadership role within the art department.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with intellectual properties.
  • Knowledge of Unity.
