About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join Raytheon Technologies as an Associate Director, where you will play a key role in driving business growth and customer engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development of business strategies to achieve demanding growth targets and win new business.
- Manage key customer stakeholder groups at senior levels, building strong relationships and identifying new opportunities.
- Coordinate and execute a prioritized plan of action and milestones to close pursuits and achieve business objectives.
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure excellence in business capture, pipeline development, and proposal writing.
- Liaise with international business teams to pursue and capture global opportunities.
- Manage budgets and resources to achieve business objectives.
- Lead and develop a high-performing team, fostering a positive culture and supporting team members' growth.
- Contribute to the development of the company's business strategy and product development plan.
- Ensure regular customer and market engagement to understand customer needs and promote the company's product lines and capabilities.
Candidate Requirements
- Extensive domain experience, including time working within the MoD/Government customer base at senior levels.
- Creative, energetic, and entrepreneurial approach.
- Commercial awareness, including intuitive risk and opportunity assessment.
- Strong communication skills, including at board level.
- Personal experience of winning new business and meeting business capture and/or sales targets.
- Proven ability to develop market strategies that create opportunities.
- Previous BD and strategy experience in a defence, security, and/or aerospace business.
- Clear understanding of relevant UK and international markets.
- Holder of relevant security clearances (if not held, must be prepared to apply).
Desirable Qualifications
- Experience in product/system/service integration.
- Experience of leading and developing a successful team.
- Strong relationships with relevant UK and international customers.
- Interest in and understanding of UK and international defence, security, and aerospace issues.
- Experience and/or understanding of different commercial models for the provision of products and/or services.
