About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Neonatal Nurse Specialist to join our team at Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospitals NHSFT. As a key member of our neonatal unit, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality, family-centred care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate shifts, ensuring the smooth operation of the neonatal unit
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to deliver excellent patient care
  • Supervise and support junior staff, including pre-registration student nurses
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of new policies and procedures
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and audits

Requirements

  • Post-registration qualification in neonatal specialist area (ENB 405 or equivalent)
  • Teaching and assessing or mentorship qualification
  • Two years clinical experience in speciality
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and as part of a team
