We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Neonatal Nurse Specialist to join our team at Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a Neonatal Nurse Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, compassionate care to infants and their families in our Local Neonatal Unit.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert clinical care to infants in our Local Neonatal Unit, including those in intensive care, high dependency, and special care.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans for infants and their families.
- Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of infants to identify their needs and develop strategies to meet those needs.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with families, providing emotional support and education to help them navigate the care of their infant.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the care and services provided to infants and their families.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research, evidence-based practices, and guidelines in neonatal care to ensure the highest level of care for infants.
- 6 months experience working with infants in a neonatal unit.
- Newly qualified with interest in neonatal career.
- 6 months paediatric experience.
- Awareness of standards of care and auditing.
- Keen to further own development and develop teaching role to unqualified staff/students.
- Participated in service development and implementation of change.
- Knowledge of child protection issues recommendations and other relevant documents.
- Commitment to promotion of health.
- Able to work weekdays, nights and weekends.
- Flexible.
- Willing to be flexible in service delivery.
- Enthusiastic, motivated and committed to neonatal nursing.
- Calm, approachable, kind, flexible and responsive to change.
