About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Neonatal Nurse to join our team at Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a Neonatal Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, family-centred care to newborns and their families in our 14-cot neonatal unit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert clinical care to newborns and their families, including assessment, planning, and implementation of care.
  • Lead and coordinate shifts, working well independently and within the team to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Support junior staff and pre-registration student nurses in their development and training.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of service improvements and changes.
  • Collaborate with the Maternity and Paediatric teams to ensure comprehensive care for newborns and their families.

Requirements

  • Registered General Nurse (RGN), Registered Sick Children's Nurse (RSCN), or Registered Nurse (Adult or Child) qualification.
  • Post-registration qualification in neonatal specialist area (ENB 405 or equivalent).
  • Teaching and assessing or mentorship qualification.
  • Two years' clinical experience in a neonatal specialty.
  • Management experience and ability to supervise, support, and coach junior staff.
