This position serves as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the delivery of Corporate Actions. While Corporate Action tasks can be straightforward, they often encompass unique or technical complexities that require adept management.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Support Task Specialists in adhering to established procedures within an ISO 9001 framework, ensuring compliance with regulations, assessing and mitigating risks, and meeting required Service and Quality Standards.
  • Evaluate the bespoke nature of tasks to determine if new procedures or modifications are necessary, and oversee their development, documentation, and implementation.
  • Engage predominantly in the Corporate Actions process, particularly in governance aspects such as verification and authorization during active delivery, while identifying and resolving issues.
  • Organize and/or conduct training sessions for less experienced team members as needed, and provide constructive feedback to Task Specialists' line management for performance reviews and skills assessments.
  • Work independently or collaboratively with the Technical Manager and other teams as required, and provide coverage for the Technical Manager during absences.
  • Operate with moderate to minimal guidance and recognize when to escalate issues.
  • Identify and implement Continuous Improvement initiatives, support Management Information efforts, assist with Corporate Actions inquiries, and lead related development projects.

Required Skills & Attributes:

  • Develop and maintain expertise in Corporate Action products and Stock Market expectations.
  • Adhere to procedures and the ISO mindset to ensure consistency and compliance with audits.
  • Possess strong PC skills, including proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Governance-focused, ensuring that appropriate processes are followed, authorities are obtained, and risks are managed effectively.
  • Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills for interactions with internal and external stakeholders, presenting information clearly and logically.
  • Demonstrate proactivity, self-motivation, and a positive demeanor.
  • Uphold professionalism, integrity, and empathy in all interactions, considering the perspectives of clients, shareholders, and colleagues.
  • Maintain a high level of attention to detail and accuracy through self-checking.
