Position Overview

IT Support Specialist

Location: Office-based with flexible options

Salary: Up to £40,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the IT help desk, addressing and resolving technical challenges efficiently.
  • Provide second-line support for intricate IT issues, collaborating with users to identify solutions and escalating to third-party services when necessary.
  • Oversee device management using JAMF Pro, which includes enrolling devices, configuring profiles, deploying software, and managing updates and patches.
  • Assist in the rollout of new systems and services.
  • Conduct tailored training sessions and ongoing support for employees, addressing their unique needs and concerns, and helping them troubleshoot issues to maximize their use of technology.
  • Create and maintain documentation for known issues to assist both users and team members.
  • Adhere to security best practices to protect the organization’s data and assets.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in providing second-line IT support, including troubleshooting, mobile device management, and system implementation.
  • Strong customer service skills with a proactive approach to resolving issues.
  • Ability to adapt to shifting priorities, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and quickly diagnose and resolve IT challenges.
  • Knowledge of security best practices to safeguard the organization’s data, including familiarity with antivirus and patch management systems.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting technical issues related to Apple devices (laptops, desktops, tablets, and mobiles) is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Familiarity with Google Workspace and its suite of products (e.g., Google Meet) is also beneficial.
