Manufacturing Project Specialist

This position is ideal for a seasoned Manufacturing Engineer or Project Specialist who possesses comprehensive expertise in managing production workflows and effectively executing the integration of new machinery within a continuous engineering setting.
The successful candidate will have a solid background in production or manufacturing engineering, adept at handling multiple simultaneous projects, procuring and acquiring new machinery, designing operational layouts, collaborating with maintenance teams to schedule production interruptions, and generally liaising across various departments to implement innovative systems and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop project plans to facilitate machine reconfiguration, equipment installation, enhancements, and cost-saving initiatives.
- Identify, specify, source, and procure machinery and equipment.
- Oversee subcontractors, ensuring project delivery aligns with timelines and budget constraints while adhering to all company and health & safety regulations.
- Conduct plant engineering tasks with minimal oversight across the facility, including infrastructure development and manufacturing equipment maintenance.
- Provide technical guidance, including data analysis, planning, and execution to enhance equipment availability and asset utilization across the site.
- Support maintenance teams in troubleshooting issues throughout the plant and on the equipment.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of HNC or equivalent in Electrical, Controls, or Mechanical Engineering, with at least one year of relevant technical experience in an engineering context. However, a developmental opportunity may be available for candidates with alternative engineering qualifications and experience.
- Familiarity with CAD software, business systems such as Oracle or MP2, and automation technologies would be beneficial.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with awareness of Microsoft Project.
- Multiskilled or experienced in both electrical and mechanical disciplines is advantageous.
Working Hours:
Monday to Thursday 8 AM - 4 PM, Friday 8 AM - 2 PM.
