About the Role

Invicta Health CIC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Officer to join our team on a part-time basis. As a key member of our finance team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of financial information, providing financial advice and support to service line budget holders, and investigating complex queries and discrepancies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process financial accounting information in accordance with procedures and policies, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Support service line budget holders in identifying variations and providing financial advice to rectify any discrepancies.
  • Investigate complex queries and discrepancies from suppliers, staff, and customers, providing advice and guidance as required.
  • Assist the Finance Manager in supervising the finance team, ensuring an effective and efficient service is provided.
  • Collate and provide financial information for the statutory accounts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Monitor and oversee the accounts email inbox, ensuring timely responses to queries and issues.
  • Responsible for the monthly journals, ensuring all costs are allocated to the correct budgets.
  • Support and contribute to the updating of finance policies, as required.
Requirements
  • Appropriate demonstrable experience in a finance setting.
  • Knowledge and understanding of management accounting.
  • Experience and knowledge in the use of SAGE.
  • Experience in explaining financial queries and information to finance and non-finance staff.
  • Detailed understanding of accounting procedures.
Desirable Qualifications
  • AAT level 4 or working towards.
  • Evidence of continued professional development.
