Continuity Operations Manager

We are seeking a proficient Business Continuity Manager to enhance our expanding Global Business Continuity team. In this role, you will support the Group Business Continuity Manager and serve as a subject matter expert for business continuity operations across our APAC offices.
Your contributions will be vital in ensuring the company's resilience through Business Impact Analysis (BIA), business continuity planning and execution, annual assessments, and scenario testing. This includes overseeing and implementing the Business Continuity Policy to guarantee compliance with all legal and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Planning
- Engage with our growing APAC region to ensure comprehensive business continuity plans are established, regularly reviewed, updated, and tested.
- Proactively prepare for foreseeable risks to the operational continuity of the Group.
- Assist Crisis Management teams during disaster situations.
- Provide high-quality, practical advice to the business regarding business continuity planning and related matters to mitigate risks, resolve issues, and maximize business opportunities.
- Support the business in acquiring and retaining clients by timely addressing due diligence requests.
- Develop and promote education and awareness of business continuity planning, fostering a culture of preparedness within the organization.
- Oversee the management of the mass notification tool.
- Conduct Business Impact Analysis (BIA) assessments to identify critical processes, dependencies, and recovery time objectives.
- Create and maintain robust Business Continuity Plans (BCPs) to mitigate potential risks and ensure uninterrupted operations across APAC.
- Support Group entities in regularly assessing and updating their BCPs to reflect changes in business processes, technology, and organizational structure.
- Plan and execute scenario tests to evaluate the effectiveness and readiness of the BCPs, identifying areas for enhancement.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including senior management and department heads, to ensure alignment with business continuity strategies.
- Coordinate and lead response efforts during business disruptions or crises, minimizing impacts and facilitating recovery.
- Manage a business continuity software system for the production, distribution, assessment, and review of business continuity plans and BIAs across APAC, ensuring compliance with Group requirements.
- Work with APAC entities to identify their needs for business continuity guidance and determine the best delivery methods, balancing system requirements and compliance/best practices.
- Proven experience in business continuity planning and disaster management within the Insurance or Financial Services sectors, regularly engaging with senior executives.
- Familiarity with BCI Good Practice Guidelines / ISO22301 best practices.
- CBCI accreditation or progress towards completion is advantageous.
- Willingness to travel regularly across the APAC region.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
