We are currently seeking an experienced Business Continuity Manager to enhance our Global Business Continuity team. This role involves supporting the Group Business Continuity Manager and serving as a subject matter expert for business continuity initiatives across the APAC region.

Your contributions will be vital in ensuring the company's resilience through comprehensive Business Impact Analysis (BIA), business continuity strategies, and regular assessments. You will also assist in implementing the Business Continuity Policy to meet all legal and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Oversight
  • Engage with the expanding APAC region to establish and maintain effective business continuity plans that are routinely reviewed and tested.
  • Proactively anticipate potential risks to operational continuity.
  • Support Crisis Management teams during disaster scenarios.
  • Provide practical, commercially-focused advice on business continuity planning to mitigate risks and enhance business objectives.
  • Assist in client retention and acquisition by responding promptly to due diligence inquiries.
  • Promote awareness and education on business continuity planning to foster a culture of preparedness.
  • Oversee the management of the mass notification system.
2. Business Continuity Development
  • Conduct BIA assessments to pinpoint critical processes and recovery objectives.
  • Create and uphold robust Business Continuity Plans (BCPs) to address potential risks and ensure seamless operations across APAC.
  • Facilitate regular reviews of BCPs to align with evolving business processes and technologies.
  • Design and implement scenario tests to assess BCP effectiveness and identify improvement areas.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including senior management and external partners, to align business continuity strategies.
  • Lead incident response efforts during business disruptions to minimize impacts and support recovery.
3. Technical Management
  • Oversee a business continuity software system for the creation, distribution, and review of business continuity plans and BIAs across APAC.
  • Work with APAC entities to assess their business continuity needs and deliver tailored guidance.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in business continuity planning and disaster management within the Insurance or Financial Services sectors, engaging with senior executives.
  • Familiarity with BCI Good Practice Guidelines / ISO22301 standards.
  • CBCI accreditation or progress towards it is advantageous.
  • Willingness to travel regularly within the APAC region.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
