Division Overview

Our division specializes in delivering outstanding port agency and logistics services, offering integrated solutions tailored for clients in the marine and energy industries.

Role Summary

In the role of Accounts Assistant, you will join our experienced UK accounting team, primarily focusing on cash management, customer invoicing, and credit control in line with company policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Daily reconciliation and processing of all banking transactions.
  • Accurate allocation of customer payments and supplier invoices.
  • Reviewing draft invoices prepared by the Disbursement Clerk and issuing final invoices.
  • Addressing customer inquiries and requests.
  • Issuing customer credit notes and re-invoicing as needed.
  • Completing any necessary registration processes for onboarding clients.
  • Arranging payments for customer refunds as required.
  • Processing and reconciling all company credit card transactions.
  • Providing coverage for Disbursement Clerk duties when needed.
  • Assisting with billing for Shortsea activities as necessary.
  • Performing additional tasks as required to support business needs.

Additional Requirements

  • Experience in an accounting role is preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel and Outlook.
  • Familiarity with Sage 200 and Foxit PDF Editor is advantageous.
  • A strong attention to detail and high level of numeracy.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A willingness to learn and contribute to team objectives.
