About the Role

HSBC is seeking a highly skilled Product Manager to lead the development and maintenance of our Custody product. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing leadership and vision to drive business growth, innovation, scalability, and digitization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and own the end-to-end operating model for the Custody product, including systems infrastructure.
  • Assess client needs and demand for product features and impact on the product roadmap and backlog.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of the Custody vision and strategy, based on four key principles: growth, innovation, scalability, and digitization.
  • Understand market and regulatory trends to maintain product advantage, support client onboarding, and sell, explain, and present the product to clients.
  • Provide product expertise to Business Development and Client Executives in sales pitches, client meetings, and key RFPs.
Requirements
  • Proven background in product design, product management, and/or product ownership with experience of implementing new products to market.
  • Ability to operate and influence at a senior level, particularly around the benefits of the product offering, with previous client-facing exposure.
  • Excellent organizational and presentation skills, credible with senior stakeholders, and a self-starter who can operate on their own initiative.
  • In-depth knowledge of Securities Services, with knowledge of custody/asset management/transfer agency and/or fund admin, ideally with a specific understanding of ETFs, Mutual Funds, and Alternatives.
  • Highly adaptable and possess the gravitas to work with global colleagues and stakeholders on a daily basis.
