About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior IT Support Specialist to join our team at Telappliant. As a key member of our technical support team, you will be responsible for providing expert-level support to our customers, troubleshooting complex technical issues, and ensuring the smooth operation of our IT systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide 3rd line technical support to our customers, taking ownership of issues until resolution.
  • Attend on-site customer visits for installation and issue resolution, as well as providing remote support.
  • Support the development of our 1st and 2nd line engineers, helping them to improve their problem-solving skills.
  • Collaborate with the Service Delivery Manager to coordinate tasks, including ticket management and deputizing in their absence.
Requirements
  • Proven experience working in a Microsoft environment, specifically with Windows Server 2012/16/19 and up to Windows 11 Operating System.
  • Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, Remote Desktop Services, SharePoint, OneDrive, and VPN connections.
  • Knowledge of the Office 365 environment.
  • At least 3 years of experience working in an IT role.
  • Understanding of networking principles to facilitate troubleshooting and resolution of customer issues.
  • Solid technical background, with the ability to understand and support existing technologies while maintaining focus on future IT products and solutions.
  • Hands-on, enthusiastic IT professional with a strong customer service focus.
  • Full UK driver's license.
Desirable Skills and Experience
  • Microsoft Certifications or the ability to achieve them in a short timeframe.
  • Knowledge of IT Security and a practical approach to dealing with associated issues, including networking, backup solutions, and spam/malware filtering.
  • Strong customer service skills and the ability to work and develop within a small team environment.
  • Experience working as part of an IT service delivery team and sound knowledge of problem management and incident management processes.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Maintain a high standard of work and professionalism.
