The firm is a leading provider of legal services, highly regarded for its expertise in social housing law. Our team is dedicated to delivering exceptional results and providing a supportive and collaborative work environment.
The Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Associate to join our Housing and Regeneration team. The ideal candidate will have a background in a housing management environment, with a steady flow of new instructions from existing clients.
The role involves collaborating closely with Partners on high-value, technically challenging housing management claims, both litigated and pre-litigated matters, and includes liaising with barristers and experts.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise clients on social housing law and provide expert guidance on housing management claims
- Collaborate with Partners to develop and implement effective strategies for high-value claims
- Liaise with barristers and experts to ensure seamless delivery of services
- Provide exceptional client care and maintain strong relationships with clients
- Stay up-to-date with changes in social housing law and regulations
Requirements
- Qualified solicitor with 5 years PQE+ (or CILEX equivalent possessing civil rights of audience)
- Previous experience working on social housing litigation
- Understanding of anti-social behaviour claims and injunctions, possession proceedings, housing disrepair, housing related personal injury claims and statutory nuisance claims
- Proven experience in advocating in Courts or Tribunals, as well as the capability and readiness to travel across England
- Excellent level of client care and communication skills
- High standard of verbal and numerical reasoning
- Ability to analyse, evaluate and communicate information logically
- Proficient IT skills
