About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Anaesthetic Practitioner to join our theatre team at Northampton General Hospital. As an Anaesthetic Practitioner, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of our operating theatres, working closely with scrub practitioners and other theatre staff to provide high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a high standard of care to patients during their peri-operative phase of care
  • Assess the immediate and ongoing needs of patients and develop individualised care plans
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure efficient running of theatres
  • Contribute to the development of a culture that is committed to innovation and quality improvement
  • Assist in the monitoring and maintenance of equipment used in the Units
  • Actively participate in the ward culture to promote patient and staff well-being
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner
  • Recognised anaesthetic qualification
  • Previous experience in Anaesthetics
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a team
