Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Anaesthetic Practitioner to join our team at Northampton General Hospital. As an Anaesthetic Practitioner, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of our operating theatres, working closely with scrub practitioners and other theatre staff to provide high-quality patient care.

Main Duties

As an Anaesthetic Practitioner, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing a high standard of care to patients during their peri-operative phase of care
  • Assisting in the preparation and maintenance of theatre equipment and supplies
  • Working collaboratively with other theatre staff to ensure the efficient running of the theatre
  • Participating in the development and implementation of patient care plans
  • Monitoring and maintaining accurate records of patient care and theatre activities

Person Specification

We are seeking an experienced Anaesthetic Practitioner who has:

  • Previous experience in anaesthetics
  • Registered Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner qualification
  • Recognized anaesthetic qualification
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
